HC Knole Park Men’s 1st team produced another a very good performance against Chiswick to make it three wins in a row. In a very even opening 15 minutes the score remained scoreless, however a typical KP sweeping move from defence to attack through Duncan Parnis, George Glen, Indy Morris and Fin Webster, put Will Gough-Cooper 1v1 against the Chiswick goalkeeper and he coolly chipped his backhand over him. This gave the young Knole Park team the confidence to start playing quicker and with more confidence. The Parnis and Webster link up was back on form as the attacking moves started to reap more chances and eventually more goals. A Parnis hat-trick from a penalty corner, a penalty stroke and a backhand into the top corner made the score 4-0 at half-time.
The second half was a much improved team performance as the team started to play quicker and with more purpose. The attacking quality of George Glen, Mike Legon, Giacomo Sebastiani and debutant Ben Dawkins really pulling the strings and they created a succession of attacking opportunities. The volume of these chances started to tell and despite some superb defending by Chiswick, Knole Park were able to increase their goal tally. Player of the Match Parnis scored a second half hat-trick to make it six for the match and Fin Webster scored two very well taken goals to make the final score 9-1 to Knole Park. The team travel to Hampstead and Westminster next week for Round 4.
